Stumptown Cross Country Age-Graded Ratings - 2025

Rating is a number between 0 and 100 and is an estimation of speed relative to world record pace*. By comparing the times of runners at Lents Park to their times in track races earlier in the year, it was decided to assume that the Lents race was 6% slower than a track race. So world record time on Lents is assumed to be 13:22 for men and 15:17 for women (using the 2006/2010 factors) and the ratings of the runners are calculated relative to this and the times of the other runners. The assumption is made that, as a whole, the runners are not getting faster or slower during the series. The highest rating of each person who ran two or more races is highlighted in light blue.

Avg Rating is the average of the ratings of each runner. Unexpectedly low ratings (greater than 2 standard deviations below their average) are not included in the calculation, under the assumption that the runner was injured, or stopped to smell the roses. These are highlighted in pink.

So the ratings have limitations, but might be of interest.
